At Smith Maloney Hillier we enjoy creating unique interiors that acknowledge their architectural setting whilst responding to our clients’ individual needs and aspirations.

We believe an understanding of the architectural and historical context can be used to enrich and inform interior designs that stand the test of time.

Our interiors balance a sense of cohesion and harmony, with playful creativity. We enjoy interpreting architectural and decorative motifs to create new spatial and formal ideas. Two of our directors hold senior roles in one of the UK’s foremost interior design schools, ensuring that our work is constantly evolving in response to emerging trends, technological developments and best practice.

We work across several sectors including residential, private-residential, work spaces and hospitality. Design ideas are developed through sketches, precedent studies and research into materials and context. We were early adopters of virtual and augmented reality and can offer a range of interactive presentation techniques.

Our experience in architecture, space-planning and fabrication means we are adept at designing beautifully detailed bespoke furniture, whether stand-alone or integrated. We also have close working relationships with suppliers and contractors to ensure your design solutions can be tailored to every budget.
